A study on the value of Eosinopenia and C Reactive Protein as infectious markers in pregnant women with premature rupture of membranes is performed. Objectives: Determine the association between Eosinopenia and C-reactive protein as an infectious markers in premature rupture of membranes. Materials and Methods: A study of analytical, observational, cross- sectional type and diagnostic test was held, in Victor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital, department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. The study population consisted of 72 pregnant women with premature rupture of membranes divided in two groups, those with infection (cases group) and those without infection (controls group). Results: Related analysis the mean and standard deviation of eosinophil count in infected patients, demonstrating that from the first sample taken on the first day of hospitalization, shows that pregnant patients show increased eosinophil count (M = 171.25 DE = 51.187) and once produced the presence of infection count decreases (M = 29,58DE = 24.756 t (23) = 12.865, p <0.05, r = 0.93). With regard to the value of C-reactive protein in infected pregnant women without a lower value was found (M = 0.4429 DE = 0.39939) and once produced the presence of infection the value of this serum marker increases (M = 8, 7596 DE = 15.28702 t (23) = -2.710, p <0.05, r = 0.49). Conclusions: There is no difference between the use of Eosinopenia and C-Reactive Protein, as a infectious markers in pregnant women with premature rupture of membranes, to predict the presence of intra-amniotic infection.
