In order to determine whether the use of video games online is a predisposing factor for the presence of violence in adolescents high school freshman of the National Educational Institution San Juan de Trujillo during the period 2014, an analytical, observational cohort study ; with a sample of 208 students divided into two groups of 104 students and 104 students they played video games not played video games, for which two structured for the gathering of information of the study variables was used instruments. This research is results that 24.6% prefer games like Dragon Ball Z and 22.1% God of War; over time teenagers spend on video games was obtained that 34.1% use from 1 to 5 hours and 35.2% of 6 to 10 hours; 33.7% use video games once a week and 27.9% two more times; 88% does not show any reaction to the loss of the game and that 9.6% reacts with shouts and insults. Regarding the incidence of violence 11.5% of those who use video games have violence against 0.5% of those not using video games; taking as a predictor 25 times more than present violence in video games using Internet versus those who do not use (RR = 25.5).
