In this thesis entitled “TECHNICAL-ECONOMIC COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS FOR TWO TYPES OF FOUNDATIONS OF A REINFORCED CONCRETE BUILDING OF SIX FLOORS IN THE CITIES OF TRUJILLO, CHICLAYO AND LIMA“, the following takes place: We carried out the evaluation of an irregular six floors building for residential use in three cities: - In Trujillo city is located at El Palmar, Urbanization El Golf, district of Victor Larco Herrera. - In the city of Chiclayo is located at Av. Balta in the district of Chiclayo. - In the city of Lima is located in Santa Clara Urbanization in the district of Ate. We count on the pre-dimensioning of structural elements: beams, columns, slabs and measurement of service loads to which the building will be subjected during its lifetime and estimation of seismic forces. With this information we model the building in the ETABS software, performing structural analysis for the stresses to which is under construction and displacement caused by the charging system, was obtained these reactions results based on each columns, which will help us design of foundations. Due to the characteristics of the land and building, we proposed two alternatives for shallow foundations: combined footings and foundation slabs. For cities of Trujillo and Lima, we designed combined footings and foundation slabs In Chiclayo having a land with very low bearing capacity, only a foundation slab was designed, not being possible to design another kind of shallow foundations. Then proceed to the measurement and budget for a total cost of the two alternatives and finally realize the technical-economic comparative analysis of shallow foundations of alternatives.
