The implementation of a training program on the chamomile market generated a positive impact on production and on the welfare of the Otuzco farmers. Most of the farmers from the mountain range of ‘La Libertad’ are engaged to cultivating traditional products, these are their principal source of income, but theses ones do not contribute significantly to their welfare. In our research work in the village of San Francisco del Suro, considered as a representative sample to farmers in Otuzco, a survey initially applied allowed us to know the situation of the farmers: income, health, education, production, etc; simultaneously we noted the guidelines to elaborate a training workshop program, taking into account the factors founded and the lack of awareness from the farmers of the supply and demand from the medicinal plants between them the chamomile. In implementing of the training program it was determined that if farmers receive adequate and specific guidance, they will place greater emphasis on the production of an alternative product, the one that can increase their income, improve their quality of life, their vision about an optimum productivity and encouraging the permanence of the agrarian in the countryside.
