With the objective of determining the relationship between a sedentary lifestyle and preeclampsia in pregnant women treated at the Belen Hospital in Trujillo, 2024, this study with a non-experimental, descriptive and relationship design was carried out, for which an international activity questionnaire was applied. physical examination and a data collection form for preeclampsia from 101 puerperal women whose delivery was attended at the Belen Hospital from Trujillo from May to June 2024. Among the results, it was obtained that, of the total number of pregnant women, 50.5% presented preeclampsia, 63.4% had a high level of sedentary lifestyle, 2.0% had a moderate level and 34.7% had a low level. The average age was 28.37 years, 51.0% were nulliparous, 43.1% showed comorbidities, and 66.7% were obese, showing a significant relationship between age and the presence of preeclampsia (p = 0 .03); However, it is concluded that there is no significant relationship between the level of high sedentary lifestyle and preeclampsia in the pregnant women in the study (aOR = 1.58; 95% CI = 0.70 – 3.58; p = 0.27).
