Determine if there is a relation between refractive error and dry eye syndrome in pediatric patients aged 10 to 15 years from the Jorge Basadre state school in the Florencia de Mora District. Material and methods: An observational, analytical, cross-sectional study was conducted, including 87 students who participated in an eye health campaign organized by the Oftalmocenter Clinic at Jorge Basadre School, who met the selection criteria. Results: The study showed that those with Dry Eye are slightly older (15 years vs. 13 years, p = 0.037). Dry Eye patients had significantly lower NIKBUT (4.69 seconds vs. 12.23 seconds, p < 0.001) and higher OSDI (42 vs. 12, p < 0.001) values, indicating worse ocular lubrication and more sequence symptoms. A significant association will be observed between Dry Eye and ametropia (p < 0.5). There was a weak positive evaluation between OSDI and refractive error (rs = 0.220, p = 0.04). Conclusion: There is a relation between refractive error and dry eye syndrome in pediatric patients aged 10 to 15 years at the Jorge Basadre school
