Abstract: Determinar la relación entre la erosión dental y el estrés psicosocial
en los pacientes que acuden al Hospital Santa Isabel del distrito El Porvenir -
2023.
Materiales y Métodos: Este estudio fue observacional, transversal y
correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 150 pacientes que acudieron al
servicio odontológico del Hospital Santa Isabel – El Porvenir, durante los meses
de Septiembre a Noviembre,2023 y que cumplieron con los criterios de
inclusión; los pacientes fueron evaluados con los instrumentos de: La Escala de
Estrés Percibido (EP-10) y Examen Básico de Desgaste por Erosión (BEWE).
Para el análisis de resultados se empleó la estadística descriptiva y la prueba de
X2, para datos relacionados. (p<0.05)
Resultados: Se encontró que el 72.7% (109) de pacientes, presentaron niveles
leves en cuanto a la erosión dental, de los cuales el 11.3% de ellos presentaron
estrés psicosocial leve; el 33.3% de pacientes presentaron estrés psicosocial
moderado y el 28.0% presentaron estrés psicosocial severo. Hubo una mayor
participación del sexo masculino con el 50.7% y en igual porcentaje fueron las
edades de 18-35 años. Los resultados obtenidos con el análisis estadístico
empleado se obtuvo el valor de p >0.05.
Conclusiones:
No existe una relación significativa entre la erosión dental y el estrés psicosocial,
en los pacientes que acudieron al Hospital Santa Isabel – El Porvenir 2023
