The objective of this research is to determine the frequency and factors associated with the presentation of the DEA 1 blood group in Canis familiaris in the city of Trujillo in the year 2023. Wilson's Score was used to determine the sample. A total of 100 blood samples from domestic canines (Canis familiaris) of any breed, age and of both sexes were analyzed; the blood samples were obtained from the VetHelp clinical laboratory of the city of Trujillo. For the identification, the Quick Test DEA 1 was applied, which has a high sensitivity and specificity of 100% in the detection of the DEA 1 group. The results obtained were compiled in frequency tables, the Infostat software was used and the Chi-square statistical test was applied to determine the existing relationship between the variables of breed, sex and urbanizations of Trujillo district, with the expression of DEA 1 + and DEA 1 - blood group. It was obtained as a statistical result that 73% (73/100) of the canines sampled are DEA 1+, which predominates in the canine sample evaluated; furthermore, there is no association between the sex variable and the manifestation of the DEA 1+ or DEA 1 - group (p = 0. 9175); neither is there a relationship of expression with canines of phenotypically defined breeds and domestic canines of undefined breed (p = 0.0623)
