This thesis has the title “Evaluation of the functional state of the flexible pavement of José Quiñones Avenue, district and province of Chiclayo, department of Lambayeque, using the PCI Methodology”, which was intended to determine the condition of the pavement flexible in the Av. José Quiñones of the city of Chiclayo, department of Lambayeque. This PCI methodology incorporates procedures that highlight the observer's criteria for conducting the evaluation of the road infrastructure. This method was created with the purpose of knowing the condition and / or condition of a pavement, in order to take the necessary measures for its care. The road that was evaluated, with the naked eye showed signs of having partial damage in its extension, however there is a classification of pavement failures that are: surface faults, and structural failures. Although, the first type of failures give rise to those of the second order, it is very important to identify the superficial condition of a road in general, to give rise to the prudent rehabilitation procedures. Having made the application of the Pavement Condition Index method to Av. José Quiñones, it began with the division of the track into 41.8 m sampling units. long by the width of 5.5 m. in each lane, making a total of 48 sampling units (both lanes). After determining the sectioning of the track and the selection of the samples, the visual inspection of the faults was carried out as specified in the manual. Then calculations were made to identify the incidence of each failure. All the information collected in the fieldwork was passed to the formats standardized by the methodology. At the end of the data processing according to the PCI manual, a PCI value equal to 50.06 in the left lane and 49.21 for the right lane was achieved; According to the evaluation of the rating ranges of the methodology, both are in a REGULAR state.
