The practice of Good Corporate Governance (CGG) is an increasingly important concept in our country, because it contributes to guaranteeing the increased and sustainability of companies, it also generates transparency and trust, motivating interest in investors, and the employees work with integrity to business. For the public sanitation companies, the Good Corporate Governance becomes relevant for compliance to the Sustainable Development Goal 6 –ODS6 “Ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all”, that actually is a challenge, wich requires to adopt integrated approaches to resource management and allocation. In case of La Empresa de Saneamiento, 15 years ago it has implemented the BGC principles, which includes the best practices or principles of Good Corporate Governance used by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) and the World Bank (WB). The analysis of the Practice of Good Corporate Governance in La Empresa de Saneamiento will be about two of thirty four of the Principles of the BGC that will be the theme of the investigation: the “Principle 15: Mechanism for the appointment of directors”, the principle16 “Policies relating to the independence of Directors” and the principle 17: “Roles and responsibilities of the board of Directors and the Directors” taking the impact on the directors decision making to the management of the investment program.
