This work is aimed at the modular development of an information center with automated indicators for the management and control of all vaccines safeguarded by the Ministry of Health. It is also aimed at the modular growth of the most strategic areas to create a smart health establishment that uses 4.0 technologies, providing access to Executive Directorates for the real-time control and monitoring of Public Health in Central Lima. The flow of information and the incidents caused by the breaking of cold chains in multiple establishments simultaneously were analyzed, and, in addition to this, monetary losses up to 35 million soles (USD $9.3 million) were also recorded in 2023 only in COVID-19 vaccines. Due to these losses, it was decided to implement Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud Computing, part of 4.0 technologies, to monitor cold chains in real time. The system consists of creating monitoring stations for the vaccine containers at the Magdalena Health Center, using temperature sensors dedicated to the 4 containers and one to the environment where they are located, sending the temperature values in real time to an Azure SQL Database. In addition, this data is sent automatically through a Gateway to Digemid for monitoring. It is planned to grow modularly towards strategic areas such as Solid Waste, unifying the information in real time and thus achieving a smart health facility.
