Scope: The study focuses on conducting a psychometric analysis of the Brief Resilience Scale (BRCS) among university students in Metropolitan Lima, exploring the relationship between resilience and academic satisfaction. Objective: To assess the validity based on the internal structure and reliability of the BRCS, as well as to explore the relationship between resilience and academic satisfaction in university students. Method: A non-probability convenience sampling method was used for the instrumental design of the research, selecting a sample of 208 students from Metropolitan Lima. Of the total participants, 62.3% were women (M = 22.1, SD = 1.9). The Brief Resilience Scale and the Academic Satisfaction Scale were used. Results: As evidence of validity based on internal structure, a confirmatory factor analysis was conducted, confirming a unidimensional structure of the BRCS, χ2(2) = 0.8, p < .001, CFI = 1.000, RMSEA = .000, SRMR = .012. In the evaluation of convergent validity, a correlation was found between resilience and academic satisfaction (r = .26). Additionally, a reliability coefficient of ω = .59 was obtained. Conclusions: The study suggests that further revisions of the BRCS items could contribute to an improvement in the scale's psychometric properties for use among university students in Metropolitan Lima.
