This research has focused on the application of Lean Manufacturing Tools and circular economy within a manufacturing company, to increase efficiency in the manufacturing process of cutting expanded polystyrene sheets. To do this, the organization's environment and the main problem are specified. The analysis is carried out with the elaboration of the problem tree, activity diagram, Ishikawa and route. On the other hand, the way in which the main problem is constituted will determine the implementation of the tools, for this, the definitions of the improvement indicators will be made. Taking into account the main reasons for the problem, the improvement will be made using tools such as: standardized work to minimize the time of supply of blocks and in the absence of work procedures, the SLP tool to have the adequate distribution of the plant and the best order in the warehouses, the Kamban tool to minimize the type of change of formats, finally, the circular economy to minimise excess waste. After implementation, the cycle time was reduced from 482.53 min to 394.561 min, the cutting time from 113.15 min to 68.02 min and the percentage of non-conforming material from 15.198 % to 5.566 % was reduced. In addition, with respect to the excess waste, the additional process of reusing the waste as recycled in the block process will be carried out. with this, an average saving of 15% of raw material will be obtained in each EPS block.
