In the clothing industry, garment defects remain a significant problem, causing rework, delivery delays and order failures. This project focused on developing and implementing a model to reduce the number of defective garments in a Peruvian textile company. The model was developed based on Lean Manufacturing tools such as Acceptance Sampling, TPM and Work Standardization. Acceptance sampling was used to detect any defects in fabrics, TPM was used to reduce machine failures, while Work Standardization was applied to improve laying and cutting processes. As a main result, defects in garments were reduced through standardization of processes in the cutting area, productive maintenance on machines in the sewing area and complete quality control from raw materials to the final product, addressing root causes in three key areas. Finally, this result is reflected in the fulfillment of orders by customers.
