This work is carried out with the purpose of providing a solution to the problem of inefficiency in the planning process of finishing subcontractors, specifically in the painting component of the San Martin de Pangoa Hospital project, located in the Junín department, where delays and non-compliance with deadlines by the contracted subcontractor were identified. Therefore, the use of Lookahead and Lean Construction philosophy is proposed to plan and control the execution of the painting finishing component, through the design of an implementation procedure that involves controls with the percentage of plan completed (PPC), deadlines, and labor productivity. Finally, the results obtained after the implementation of the procedure were: a reduction of the initial tentative date for the subcontract by 42 days, an increase in labor productivity to 76.39 m²/day, and an improvement in PPC by 20.47%. In conclusion, the use of Lookahead proves to be effective in reducing issues in the planning process, and it is evident that it not only improves this process but also enhances the overall productivity of the project.
