Manufacturing. For the development of this project, a TPM pillar, Autonomous Maintenance, was taken into consideration, the main objective of which is to train operators with a level of autonomy who, through knowledge of machine maintenance, can prevent and detect conditions that could avoid a stoppage. thus improving the availability of the equipment. The analysis line, lines D, at the beginning of the project presented an OEE of 54%, which meant a negative impact, since it presented a loss of sales opportunity equivalent to 4.4% of income. Taking some success stories as a reference, and the identified improvement opportunities, it was possible to increase availability at the filling station by 17%. This gain increased line efficiency by 14%, since the improvements were also reflected in the other components (performance and quality) as a result of the application of tools such as 5S, the pillar of TPM, Autonomous Maintenance, after the first year implementation.
