Cocoa is one of the most important cash crops in Peru and Latin America, it is the main economic source of thousands of families; however, they do not have the technology or adequate knowledge for adequate production, so they are unaware of the negative impacts and opportunities for improvement. In this sense, the present work proposes clean production strategies evaluated under a Life Cycle Analysis approach in order to solve the problem of low yields in cocoa plantations, while seeking to reduce the negative environmental impacts of the activity. The approach focused on the agricultural stage of cocoa cultivation and evaluated 1 kg of cocoa as a functional unit. As a first step, through the initial diagnosis, a life cycle inventory was carried out, which was entered into the Siapro software to model the environmental impacts; in the second step, improvement opportunities were identified according to the critical points detected in the simulation and prioritized according to criteria; as a third step, the LMP proposal was planned, developing the design of the strategy, activities, materials and resources necessary for its implementation; And, in the last step the current scenario (without the proposal) was compared with the hypothetical scenario (PML proposal implemented) in the Simapro Where software, it was obtained as a result that the average overall reduction with application of the PML proposal is 48. 35%, in the 18 environmental impact categories.
