Objectives: To analyze the association between sleep quality and dry eye problems in medical students of Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas of Lima-Peru in the period 2021-2022. Methodology: Cross-sectional analytical study. The calculated sample was 417 people. An online survey based on the Pittsburgh Scale and the OSDI Test was applied. Data analysis was performed in STATA 16. Results: Dry eye problems were present in 59.72% of the students surveyed and were predominant in the female gender. In the adjusted analysis, the prevalence ratio (PR) for sleep problems was 1.009 with 95% CI [0.826 - 1.233] (p=0.927), for alcohol was 1.231 with 95% CI [1.019 - 1.487] (p =0.031), for hours of study per week was 0.984 95% CI with [0.974 - 0.995] (p=0.005) and for hours of computer use for non-academic purposes was 1.033 with 95% CI [1.020 - 1.046] (p<0.05). Conclusion: No significant association was established between the dry eye variable and sleep quality. The variables alcohol consumption, hours of study per week and hours of computer use for non-academic purposes were presented as factors associated with dry eye.
