The Pamplona Alta and Baja sectors of the San Juan de Miraflores district lack means of public transport, since they grew without any urban planning and, since many of the human settlements are located on hillsides, these reasons hinder accessibility and connection to these places. The cable car is the means of transport that provides services to areas that are difficult to access, since it adapts to the topography and easily overcomes natural and urban barriers. The purpose of this thesis is to present the proposal for the implementation of the cable car in Pamplona Alta and Baja. For the development of this proposal, the study area was divided into sectors based on the attraction points, where 4 sectors with a total area of 7.59 km2 were identified. Also, 384 Origin-Destination surveys were carried out on the inhabitants and the reference demand of 58,665 trips/day was calculated based on the number of households by strata; With this result, the effective demand of 997 passengers/hour and the rate of S/ 1.50 were determined. In addition, the distribution of trips was carried out according to the results of the Origin-Destination matrix and the cable car route was identified that includes the Pamplona Baja, Salvador Allende, El Nazareno and Pamplona Alta stations, whose length is 6.64 km. Likewise, the simulation of the cable car route was carried out in the Tranus software, where the travel time of the system of approximately 27 minutes (round trip) was determined. Finally, the viability of the project was evaluated: In the social aspect, the benefit of the social value of time was determined, the amount of which amounts to S/ 13,873,338.00 in the base year; economically, the profitability indicators VAN (S/ 71,873,338.00) and TIR (15.39%) were evaluated, the results of which indicate that the project is profitable; and in the environmental area, a 32.72% decrease in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions was obtained.
