Television is an important aspect within the moulding of teenagers, particularly one of its most significative projects, Latin America. Commonly, within its content, behavior patterns tend to affect the way we see the real world. This research mainly seeks to to identify the stereotypes regarding the psychological, physical and social dimensions of the characterization of adolescent female characters in three Peruvian melodramas: Torbellino, Besos Robados and Ven Baila Quinceañera. This is a qualitative study and it was used an analysis guide to observe the structure of nine characters (three for each melodrama). The results indicate that, within the social aspect, there is a romanticization with authority figures, in spite of the age gap and the moral issues that relationships like this can cause. In addition, it was found that the physical appearance of the characters can be linked to their sentimental situation. As part of the conclusions, it is indicated that these stereotypes are also linked to phenomena such as the "Lolita effect", where both beauty and relationships with minors are idealized.
