The present research work poses as a question: What is the effect of financial development on departmental economic growth and if this effect allows explaining the differentiated growth between the 24 departments of Perú in the period from 2007 to 2016? As measure of economic development, finance Deeping is used (credits and deposits as percent of GDP each one), using a model of data panel for 9 years of sample in each of the 24 regions in Peru, using collected data by the “Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática – INEI”. The present research work is divided in 3 parts: for the beginning it defines the concepts of economic growth and financial system, after that it will made an exposition of the empirics Works revised around the relationship between the economic growth and financial development. The second part present the objective, the research hypothesis and the methodology the theoretical model is specified and the variables are described to perform a regression of fixed effects where the errors are corrected to avoid problems of heterocedasticity and autocorrelation. Finally, the objectives are developed in 2 chapters that explain why financial development is significant in explaining departmental economic growth and why it does not explain the differentiated growth between regions, to end the conclusions of the work.
