Introduction: Performing an adequate evaluation of the temporomandibular joint TMJ using CBCT cone beam computed tomography is important to make decisions in the treatment plan of patients with different types of malocclusions, which is why this portfolio covers basic concepts and articles. where their application will be demonstrated. As well as how the tomographic evaluation of the temporomandibular joint is performed and its results related to the type of malocclusion. Thematic development: 3 works have been prepared: syllable, review of stomatological literature and research project. Conclusions: The syllable will allow us to present in a more structured way the knowledge and application of how to evaluate TMJ with CBCT. Performing a critical analysis of the literature allows us to see the quality and research process that has been carried out in each reference article, thus allowing us to select the most relevant articles. The research project aims to tomographically evaluate the joint spaces in the sagittal and coronal direction, position and condylar volume in patients with class II-1 and II-2 malocclusion.
