This study tries to determine the relation between the motivation and the styles of learning and its influence in the level of academic performance. 110 students took part from first to fourth year of The Peruvian Air Force Officials' School, who developed two independent surveys, one about motivation and other one about styles of learning, with the purpose of knowing how motivated they feel to the didactic act and to know also in turn how they learn and how this influences to the academic performance. In the investigation it was found that a positive correlation exists between motivation, styles of learning and performance. I used as technologies of compilation of information the survey about Honey-Alonso's Questionnaire of Styles of Learning - CHAEA-; which allowed the diagnosis of the styles of learning and the level of preference in every student, as well as the profile of learning of the sample per year. In this study one thought that the students in the main presented high and very high preference to the active style, whereas in minor percentage, it followed the styles Theoretical, pragmatic and reflexive. By the descriptive statistics there has been demonstrated that the students of The Peruvian Air Force Officials' School have a good motivation since of 110 pupils 45 pupils are in the level of good motivation and 12 pupils as very good, which does a total of 67 pupils with good and very good motivation. The new trends in education every time give major attention to the learning processes of the pupils, as response to the social demand to form people with skills to learn effectively. The models of Styles of Learning have turned into an alternative to give explanation, of why a group of students that share the same environment of learning, every member learns in a different way. Alonso, Galician and Honey (1997) raise that exist sufficient researches that show the relation between the styles of learning and the academic performance, that is to say, that the students learn with more efficiency when they are taught by their own Styles of learning.
