The research focuses on restoring and rehabilitating a historically significant building in the historic center of Cusco, with a strong emphasis on integrating it into its surroundings. There are few studies that delve into this specific methodology and often overlook the impact of a historic heritage site. The study is part of a project that aims to integrate the Alonso del Toro house into its context through restoration and rehabilitation, while also highlighting the impact of sustainable technologies. We conducted applied research, thoroughly analyzing the current state of the Alonso del Toro house, this included gathering informative and diagnostic data about the building, updating and categorizing the floor plans we found, and organizing essential data about the building's history. Based on this research, we proposed a plan for restoring and rehabilitating the Alonso del Toro House for collective housing and compatible uses. We also developed concrete guidelines for integrating it into its surroundings, emphasizing the harmonious blend of contemporary technologies with historic architecture to preserve its cultural and architectural identity.
