The purpose of this research was to establish the relationship between competitive anxiety and sleep quality in athletes from the district soccer league of Cusco in the year 2024. The methodological approach is quantitative with a descriptive correlational, cross-sectional and non-experimental scope. With a population of soccer players participating in the district soccer league of Cusco, 2024 for which non-probabilistic sampling was used for convenience to inclusion and exclusion criteria, and two data collection techniques were used, the CSAI-2R and the ICSP, applied in 239 participants. The analysis was performed with Microsoft Excel and SPSS, including normality tests. The results demonstrated an inverse relationship between competitive anxiety and sleep quality; highlighting that 27% of participants have moderate anxiety and only 7% have a high level of anxiety; On the other hand, in reference to the quality of sleep, it stands out that 54% require treatment and medical attention. Concluding that there is an inverse relationship between both variables, suggesting that higher levels of competitive anxiety are related to a decrease in sleep quality.
