Objective: To establish dental crowding and gingival recession in the anterior sector in patients of the Luis Vallejos Santoni Stomatological Clinic of the Andean University of Cusco - 2019. Materials and methods: This study is descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional, prospective and with a quantitative approach. The sample is made up of the selection of 200 patients older than 18 years, 97 men and 103 women, from the Luis Vallejos Santoni Stomatological Clinic of the Andean University of Cusco, the length of the distal mesial width and the length of the clinical arch were evaluated of the anterior teeth from canine to canine to determine the degree of crowding and GR was evaluated using the periodontogram and the Cairo classification to determine the type of gingival recession. Results: The frequency of mild dental crowding was found to be 59% higher, 63% lower. And as for gingival recession in upper RT1 79%, lower RT1 59%. The frequency of dental crowding, gingival recession is observed in both sexes. The frequency of poor oral hygiene is 67%. According to Kendall's Tau C statistical test, there is no significant association between tooth crowding and gingival recession. Conclusion: The frequency of dental crowding and gingival recession is greater than 50% in our population. By using the Cairo classification, the diagnosis for gingival recessions could be more easily specified, the O'Leary index shows that there is a significant relationship in terms of the accumulation of bacterial plaque
