The main objective of this thesis was to determine the degree of ductility to the displacement that presents a reinforced concrete structure of a residential use made of 5 levels in Urb. Progreso in the district of Wanchaq in the province of Cusco conformed by 9 marks blueprints. For the determination of the degree of ductility to the displacement it was necessary to use an incremental nonlinear static analysis, also called Pushover analysis. This method was used both for the analysis of the frames forming the structure (2D Analysis) as well as in the analysis of a spatial model of the structure; This in order to compare the results obtained in both analyzes. The nonlinear static analysis was based on the use of a response spectrum, based on the parameters of the Peruvian Standard of seismic design E.030; With which plastic tags and lateral displacements were generated, which in turn determined the state of damage and the performance level of the building evaluated with current regulations such as SEAOC, FEMA 356 and ATC 40. The sequence of faults affecting the structure was then described and the capacity curves of the building were evaluated. Thus giving an advance to the structural design analysis and taking its application to the nonlinear state, leaving the doors open to get to implement the dynamic analysis, which would be the next step in the structural analysis.
