The theme developed is closely linked to hydraulics and the environment, because the construction of efficient hydraulic works depends a lot on the pre-investment and investment stage, since the basis for a good hydraulic infrastructure are correct and adequate designs. based on safe terrain that provides guarantees for its proper functioning, and without affecting the balance of the environment where the works were carried out, for this reason the objective of this investigation was to determine the relationship of geological and geotechnical studies with the extensions of term of hydraulic works in an executing unit of the department of Apurímac, 2017 to 2021, the approach was quantitative, the methodology is of the explanatory type, nonexperimental design, with a correlational scope, population and sample 10 residents of works, of a unit executor of the department of Apurímac, the technique used was the survey, and the instrument the questionnaire, whose statistical result was obtained; a correlation coefficient of -0.621, based on the statistical test of Correlation - Bivariate Spearman's Rho, a value that represents a considerable relationship between the variables and their respective dimensions, which means that as more details of geological studies are presented and geotechnical, the term extensions will be less; From the investigation it is concluded that the geological and geotechnical studies have a considerable influence relationship with the extensions of the term of hydraulic works.
