The research aimed to establish the existing relationship between academic stress and academic procrastination among 4th and 5th-grade female students in a secondary school in Cusco. The methodology used was quantitative, with a descriptive-correlational scope, employing a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 283 students. The results showed that the Kendall's Tau-b test yielded a value of 0.077 with a significance of 0.184, indicating that there is no statistically significant relationship between academic stress and academic procrastination in 4th and 5th-grade secondary school students. Additionally, it was found that 37.8% of the students experience average levels of academic stress, suggesting that they may feel overwhelmed by the amount of tasks or the time available to complete them. Similarly, 50.2% of the students are at a medium level of academic procrastination. It is worth noting that there is a correlation between the dimension of activity postponement and both dimensions of academic stress: stimulus stressor and reaction to the stimulus.
