The research was developed Salache UTC, San Felipe, Cotopaxi, Ecuador and had the general objective the rehabilitation of the eroded soil, using agro-ecological edaphic techniques, in order to promote the socio-economic and environmental sensitivity. The specific objectives were: a) Characterize the agricultural production units, b) Determine the sustainability of the agricultural production units, and c) Evaluate the sustainable agricultural management practices using organic fertilizers. For the characterization and determination of the sustainability structured surveys were used and evaluated an objective population of 300 settlers with a representative example of 170, for the study the analysis of principal components and multivariate analysis techniques were used. In the sustainability evaluation we can determine that in the economical dimension it was obtained the value of 1,75; in the social dimension it was obtained the value of 1,85 and in the environmental of 2,21 determining the general sustainability of 1,89 what it tells us that the production units in Salache are not sustainable. To evaluate sustainable agricultural management practices using organic fertilizers to recover eroded soils, the descriptive and inferential statistic was used. The harvest percentages for two crop cycles determined the best treatment was that of vermicompost at the beginning of each cycle. of cultivation at a dose of 30 tn/ha, obtaining the average net yield in the cultivation of Pisum sativum in the two cultivation cycles of 1080.67kg/ha versus the probable yield of 1200 kg/ha which corresponds to 90.06% kg/ha, with an average weight of 1.19 kg per dry grain treatment, the net yield in the cultivation of Lupinus mutabilis was 746 kg/ha in the two cultivation cycles versus 1363 kg/ha of the probable yield corresponding to the 54.73%, with an average weight of 0.98 kg per dry grain treatment, followed by bovine manure, then chicken manure and finally the control.
