The use of hybrid seeds because of its high performance implies high costs of production to the small farmers; however, the hybridization in self-pollinating crops represents a great advantage due to the possibility of recombining characters and choosing the adequate lines for different environmental conditions. The main objective from this research is to evaluate the behavior of the promising lines in cruza Utrillo x Remate in the Experimental Station called “El Mantaro” that is located in the Center of Perú University at 3,319 meters above sea level (11 ° 5´ S, 75 ° 23´ W) in the Mantaro Valley in Junin, it was done during the months of October 2017 until March 2018. Full blocks design was used randomly with 10 treatments and 3 repetitions in order to evaluate the flowering days, the harvest maturity, highness plant, color leaf, color sheath, curvature sheath, texture sheath, color hilium, color grain, shape grain, texture grain, performance of the grain, number of branches, 100 seeds weight, sheath by each plant, locules per sheath, grains per sheath, weight, length and width sheath. The results of the quantitative data were under variance analysis and the means comparison test was made according to Duncan (α ≤ 0.05). The lines showed a phenotype clear green color similar to the parental Remate with a grain of rough texture. Only UPUF8- 9 showed a grain of ivory color as the parent, Remate. The lines were premature to the flowering and maturity harvest than the parental Remate, but later than Utrillo; all the lines presented higher plants than Utrillo but only UPUF8-10 were superior than a Remate. The numbers of branches by plant, 100 dry grains weight, numbers of sheath by plant, numbers of grains by sheath and weight of dried sheath didn’t show statistical differences among them, therefore the lines were similar to the parents ones. On the other side, a difference was found respect to the locules by sheath number and performance; the best results of dry grain were obtained by the diversity Remate, Utrillo and the line UPUF8-10.
