The following research seeks to complement the best development of solid waste management at the Regional Hospital of Tropical Medicine – Julio César Demarini Caro in view of the great population growth in the district of Chanchamayo, consequently, the following study will seek to contribute the best options and alternatives in management and management issues. As a result, the work will cover the following stages: Previous Evaluation, physical characterization of the remains generated, minimization/use options, as well as a proposal to enhance the Institution's strategy in waste management in general. The study was carried out at the end of 2019, estimating an average daily production of 166,598 kg of hospital waste, as well as daily production rates per patient of 1,572 kg per bed and 0.383 kg per consultation. These values were strengthened with the information collected through surveys, visits and interviews carried out in all internal locations of the establishment. The methodology applied was: analysis, processing and statistical development of data with the compilation of information in the field and the contribution of a system dynamics model for the management of solid waste involved in the Tropical Hospital. This last tool gave us a better overview of how the various variables interact within the context of the study, since through it it was possible to propose alternatives for valorization and minimization, added to this actions that allow improving the quality of life of the workers within the facilities. of the hospital and its surroundings. Likewise, the management of solid waste within a hospital is a primary objective to be met, as it leads to obtaining sources of income through its valorization and use for subsequent commercialization. However, this will depend on the degree of involvement and motivation that workers provide on the issue of solid waste management.
