Broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica) is one of the vegetables that is having a growing demand for its high nutraceutical value in humans that is capable of preventing cancer diseases. The production of this crop in Peru is very intensive on the central coast, because it is a region that presents optimal temperature and humidity conditions. In this market, new cultivars have been introduced that often make it difficult for the farmer to choose the ideal cultivar to plant. For this reason, the purpose of this research was to evaluate the agronomic characteristics of six broccoli cultivars in terms of vegetative growth, yield and quality production, under the conditions of La Molina. The experimental phase was carried out at Universidad Agraria La Molina (UNALM), in the experimental field of the Soil Laboratory of the Faculty of Agronomy. The cultivars under study were: C1 = Paraíso, C2 = Confidant, C3 = AF2203, C4 = Imperial, C5 = Avenger y C6 = Formoso. A Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used with 6 treatments and 4 repetitions. The results indicate that there are statistically significant differences in the variables earliness, total dry matter, inflorescence, stems and leaves, percentage of inflorescence dry matter, yield, inflorescence weight, inflorescence diameter and height, inflorescence peduncle diameter and index of harvest. In general, it was concluded that the Confidant cultivar (C2) is the most promising since it is within the group of cultivars with the highest yield (16,251.3 kg/ha), inflorescence weight (650 g), inflorescence dry weight (52.7 g) harvest indices (28.6%), inflorescence diameter (14.7 cm) and peduncle diameter (4.9 cm); and it is within the group with the lowest weight of total dry matter (183.6 g). Likewise, Avenger cultivar (C) stood out in obtaining higher yield, greater weight of total dry matter and inflorescence, and greater diameter and height of inflorescence. The other cultivars, although they stand out in some other variable, are not statistically different to the two cultivars mentioned.
