This research work intends to develop an instrument or tool to support the Disaster Risk Management System at the local level in the Morococha district, taking into account a methodology that is easy to understand and easily determine each management process. disaster risk. The methodology embodied in the research has as its starting point an estimation of the disaster risk of the town of Morococha, through calculations based on the period of return of the danger and on the exposure of elements of interest; From there, through an analysis based on risk estimation, action measures are determined for each risk management process (prevention, reduction, preparation, response, rehabilitation, and reconstruction). For the materialization of the study, the on-site background collection, review of event records in SIGRID, review of satellite images and field reconnaissance, and interview with authorities of the Morococha district were included; It is worth mentioning that this district is exposed to various dangers due to its location at 4,820 meters above sea level. near the Anticona pass between Junín and Lima and it is a mining settlement. The study concludes that the methodology proposed in this thesis shows that it has a sufficient and necessary structure to support the sustainable planning of local infrastructure, in addition to serving as a guiding instrument for the Disaster Risk Management Working Group and the member institutions of the Civil Defense Platform in the preparation of plans and projects on Disaster Risk Management issues.
