The present research work was carried out at the National Agricultural University La Molina where 40 common bean accessions introduced from the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) were evaluated, in order to determine agronomic behavior and grain yield: yield of grain (Kg.ha-1 and gr.plant-1) and its components such as weight of 100 grains, pods per plant, plant height, crop index, pod length, locules per pod, grain weight per pod, grains per pod, pre-flowering, flowering, pod formation and pod filling; as well as estimation of the content of iron and zinc in the grains. The treatments that obtained the best yields were white and cranberry, such as SAA 20 (1597.2 Kg.ha-1) and SAB 681 (1499.9 Kg.ha-1), respectively; However, SMR 126 obtained higher plant yield with 18.1 gr. plant-1 and with high iron content. On the other hand, the SAB 703 and SAB 701 treatments were the most precocious to flowering.
