The objective of this work of professional sufficiency is to present a proposal for a Management System of Safety and Health at Work for the activities of pruning at height of urban trees in seven district municipalities of Lima. This system proposal includes procedures and records of safe work based on a situational diagnosis of pruning activities at height. For the elaboration of the diagnosis, the methodology of direct observation of pruning activities at height was applied; At the same time, virtual surveys were carried out with operators from different district municipalities of Lima, based on the Peruvian Technical Standard 851.002-2016, ANSI Z133 Standard and the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 29783. The results of surveys showed that 79.2% of the operators are unaware of the safety regulations for pruning at height, 75% use inappropriate equipment for pruning at height and only 20.8% have a certification that validates the aptitude and knowledge to perform height pruning of trees. The results of the performance evaluation and / or compliance with legal norms, showed that none of the institutions have management systems implemented 100%. Having evidenced the deficiencies in the execution of the activities of pruning the height of urban trees. The Occupational Health and Safety Management System designed for the activities of pruning at height of urban trees is based in diagnosis results and included specific procedures that minimize the risk of accident in the operators.
