The main objective of this work is to develop a proposal for the implementation of the technical requirements of the NTP ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 standard for the Laboratory of Fisheries Microbiology. The laboratory is an entity that is part of the Faculty of Fisheries of the La Molina National Agrarian University (UNALM) that performs microbiological tests for fishery products and derivatives and which does not have an established and implemented quality management system that allows it an adequate development of their activities. For the purposes of this objective, a diagnosis of the current situation of the laboratory was developed based on compliance with the technical requirements of the NTP ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 standard; in order to establish the approach to activities that allow continuous improvement to the laboratory, as well as an efficient development of compliance with the standard. The methodology used was developed in 2 stages: The first stage was based on an evaluation and diagnosis of the laboratory for which interviews, on-site observation, review of documentary evidence and subsequent application of the checklist adapted from the NTP standard were carried out. ISO / IEC 17025: 2017. In the second stage, a proposal for a documentary structure was prepared based on compliance with the technical requirements of the standard, as well as a proposal for an implementation plan and program that allows the development of a quality management system for the fisheries microbiology laboratory of the UNALM's Faculty of Fisheries.
