Inbreeding values were determined for the Holstein bovine dairy at the Montegrande herd of the dairy Lima region. The analysis it was made in 2542 animals, using information from a period of 19 years (female animals born between 1989 and 2008). Inbreeding effects was estimated for the animal’s milk production and reproductive characteristics like as age at calving, interval between calving and number of services by conception. The 66.9% animals evaluated were not inbreeding, while the other 33.1% showed inbreeding, which were grouped into three classes: 0%<F>6.25%, 6.25%<F>12.5%, and F>12.5%: belonging respectively to 32.1%; 0.71% and 0.28% of total population. The average herd inbreeding in the study period was 0.0013%. There were no significant effects of inbreeding on milk production and reproductive characteristics. For other side, the averages of age at first calving, interval between calving, and number of services by conception were no significant differences among the three inbreeding class. These results indicate very low nivel of inbreeding and consequently milk production and reproductive characteristics are not affected in the herd
