The research was conducted in the greenhouse of the Regional Development Institute-Sierra at the National Agrarian University La Molina, on the San Juan de Yanamuclo estate, San Lorenzo district, Jauja province, Junín, with the aim of evaluating the effect of apical and lateral cuttings from mother potato plants originating from in vitro seedlings and four types of root enhancers of synthetic and organic origin (Root Hor, Rapid Root, marine biostimulant, and a control) on the yield and commercial quality of mini-tubers of the improved Canchán and Única varieties. The experiment was set up under a Completely Randomized Design (DCA) of 2x4x2 with 16 treatments and four replications. The variables under study were considered in terms of botanical and agronomic aspects. The highest growth rate was observed in the Canchán - apical cutting - control enhancer treatment (T07), with a rate of 1.364 cm/day, 56.36% leaf coverage, and 5610.320 cm² of area. The highest mini-tuber yield was achieved with the Canchán - apical cutting - Rapid Root enhancer treatment (T03), with 23 tubers per plant and 722 per square meter. While the average weight of mini-tubers stood out for the treatments with the Única variety and apical cutting, averaging 47.7 g. plant-1 , the highest total weight of mini-tubers was obtained with treatments involving apical cutting, averaging 496.135 g. plant-1 . In terms of quality, treatments with apical cutting and Root Hor enhancer stood out in both varieties, managing to achieve over 80% of first, second, and third-grade pre-basic potato mini-tubers. As indicated, the varietal characteristics, type or origin of the cuttings, and the sources of enhancers used have an effect on the yield and quality of pre-basic mini-tubers.
