The cloud forests are an important formation in tropical rainforests, the object of the present study of forest dynamics across its different phases: clearing, construction and mature phase, realized in a primary forest of the district of Tabaconas, province of San Ignacio, department of Cajamarca. The silvicultural analysis was executed in a representative formation of 25 ha, corresponding to clearing phase 25 ha, construction and mature phase 1 ha respectively. In primary forest, clearings generated an irregular mosaic, present 11.36 clearings/ha, predominantly small clearigs (62%) and medium (37%) than large clearings. In the procces of establishment of clearings, mechanical causes constitute the main cause of death of trees, 47% dies for failure of the main axis, 37% dies for uprooting and 10% dies standing. The number of valuable species changes in the different phases, in clearing phase 778 trees/ha and 10.47 m2/ha, construction were found 922 trees/ha and 14.69 m2/ha and the mature phase 406 trees/ha and 21.05 m2/ha for individuals with Dap ≥ 5 cm. In general, the natural regeneration of the low categories of seedling, small pole stage, high pole stage and timber stage is guaranteed, the dominance of heliophilous species (Nectandra arnotiana and Nageia rospigliosii), occur in phases clear and construction, changing composition and structure in the mature phase, It is important contribution of sciophilous species (Prumnopitys harmsiana). Finally, silvicultural interventions are directed to primary forest of mature phase, polycyclic system is appropriated for this forest, due to structural and ecological characteristics of the species that integrate the system.
