Abstract: Objetivo: determinar la relación entre autocuidado y calidad de
vida en adultos mayores en un asentamiento humano Bella
Aurora, Puente Piedra 2024.
Materiales y métodos: enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no
experimental, transversal y correlacional. La población estuvo
conformada por los 65 adultos mayores pertenecientes al
asentamiento humano Bella Aurora, ubicado en el distrito de
Puente Piedra. La muestra fue censal. Para evaluar el
autocuidado se utilizó una escala tipo Likert y para evaluar la
calidad de vida el cuestionario WHOQOL-BREF.
Resultados: el mayor grupo etario es el de 66 a 70 años con
43,94% (n=29), seguido de 60 a 65 años con 30,30% (n=20), 71
a 75 años con 16,67% (n=11), y mayores de 76 años con 7,58%
(n=5). El nivel de autocuidado de los adultos mayores, en la cual
se observa que el nivel medio de autocuidado es el más
frecuente con 43,94% (n=29), seguido por el nivel alto con
34,85% (n=23), y finalmente, el nivel bajo con 19,70% (n=13). El
nivel de calidad de vida de los adultos mayores, en la cual se
observa que el nivel medio es el más frecuente con 40,91%
(n=27), seguido del nivel alto con 34,85% (n=23) y el nivel bajo
con 22,73% (n=15).
Conclusiones: existen correlación significativa entre
autocuidado y calidad de vida en adultos mayores en un
asentamiento humano Bella Aurora, Puente Piedra 2024.
