Objective: to determine the relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of parents in the acceptance of the HPV vaccine in their youngest children in the 5th grade of primary school at the San Jose educational institution N°127 – El Agustino. Materials and Methods: the research was quantitative and correlational, with a non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The population was 60 parents of 5th grade primary school students from the San José Educational Institution N°127 in Agustino. The technique was the survey and validated and reliable instruments were used. In addition, the Chi-square test was used to determine the correlation. Results: Regarding parents' knowledge about the HPV vaccine, 30% do not know and 70% know. Regarding the attitude towards the HPV vaccine, it is considered that 40% of parents reject it, 35% are indifferent and 25% accept it. Regarding the relationship between the variables, the chi-square test obtained the value of 1.020, which is greater than 0.05 (p < 0.05). Conclusions: it is determined that there is no significant relationship between the knowledge and attitude of parents regarding the acceptance of the HPV vaccine in their youngest children in the 5th grade of primary school at the San José Educational Institution N°127 in the Agustin.
