The main objective of this research entitled “Aspects to reinforce about EKG reading in Emergency Service nurses” is to recognize the elements to reinforce about EKG reading in emergency area nursing staff. The study carried out arises from concern about the role of the nurse and the impact it can have before, during and after the ECG; This being a non-invasive procedure, which requires our cognitive ability to be able to identify any abnormality in the function or structure of the patient's heart. This review begins with the vision of the role of the nursing staff and the impact on patient care, since the nurse is the one who performs the EKG procedure; Procedure that requires a lot of attention to be able to make its respective interpretation based on the results. Thus, the study highlights the importance of knowing how to interpret and identify the anomalies that the EKG may present in the emergency area procedure. For this research it was necessary to start searching for information in the following databases: PROQUEST, ALICIA, LATINDEX, DIALNET, BIBLIOTECA VIRTUAL DE SALUD, EBSCO, UPCH; of which 10 articles were shortlisted. Then the Galvez Toro checklist was applied and after selecting the work, the study question was answered as suggested by the ASTETE list. The research is quantitative and descriptive, cross-sectional. The sample is made up of 108 professionals belonging to the School of Nursing. The technique was the survey form and documentary analysis. Likewise, the form and registration sheet were used to collect data, taking into account informed consent. Finally, the results were that of the total number of respondents, only 61% have any idea what an ECG is and the remaining percentage is unaware of the ECG. Regarding the quality of the registration of nursing staff, only 28% are suitable.
