The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes about epilepsy in nursing students of the V, VI and VII cycle of a private university in Chiclayo, 2023. The research methodology had a quantitative approach, non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational design. The sample consisted of a census-type selection of 125 participants, and the type of sampling was non-probabilistic, by convenience. The survey technique used for data collection was the survey, the Epilepsy Knowledge Questionnaire and the Epilepsy Attitude Questionnaire, based on the instruments “Epilepsy Knowledge Scale” and “Epilepsy Attitude Scale” by the author Aydemir, applied at the University of Istanbul, Turkey, 2007; which were validated in language to be adapted to Spanish and then validated by 5 expert judges. Subsequently, the data were processed with the SPSS version 25 program, using Spearman's Rho statistical test to find the correlation of the variables and verify the hypotheses proposed, considering the ethical criteria of the Belmont Report during the research. The results showed that there is a positive and highly significant relationship between the variables (Rho 0.313, p<0.001), this finding suggests that the greater the knowledge about epilepsy, the better the attitudes towards it, and vice versa, proving the hypothesis proposed by the research (Rho 0.313, p<0.001), and that the higher the knowledge about epilepsy, the better the attitudes towards it, and vice versa, proving the hypothesis proposed by the research (Rho 0.313, p<0.001).
