The research focuses on evaluating the mechanical and physical properties and durability of hot mix asphalt when using pulverized primary glass as filler. The aim is to determine the potential of this recycled material to increase the characteristics of MAC's. The methodology includes the preparation of conventional and modified asphalt mixtures with multiple percentages of pulverized primary glass (1%, 2%, 3%, 4% and 5%), followed by physical-mechanical tests to measure resistance to stability, flow, and tensile strength, among others. In addition, a durability analysis is carried out through wear resistance and fatigue tests. The results highlight significant improvements in compression and wear resistance with the addition of 3% pulverized primary glass, as well as increased fatigue resistance. This study supports the viability of using pulverized primary glass as a filler in asphalt mixtures, promoting more sustainable, durable and economical road infrastructures.
