Therapeutic adherence is the degree to which a person's behavior in relation to taking medication, following a diet or changing lifestyle habits, corresponds to the recommendations agreed upon by health personnel. The low level of adherence to the therapeutic regimen is well known in all chronic diseases. In developed countries, only 50% of people with chronic diseases comply with the prescribed treatment, while in developing countries this adherence may be lower due to scarcity of resources and inequities in access to health services. . For this reason, the objective of the research is to determine the factors associated with therapeutic adherence in adult hypertensive patients at the San Martín de Lambayeque health center, 2023. Throughout the process, criteria of ethical and scientific rigor will be considered. Results: It was found that the majority of patients were adherents (68.7%), factors related to the health system (p=0.000 < α=0.05) and factors related to the patient (p=0.004 < α=0.05) were statistically associated with therapeutic adherence.
