The present work involved designing educational games to foster autonomy in fourth-grade elementary school children in an educational institution. The methodology is based on a non-experimental quantitative approach at a descriptive level, which assumed the projective nature of a purposive research. The study comprises 28 fourth-grade students from a public educational institution in the city of Chiclayo, to whom the "observation guide" instrument was applied in different structured play sessions within a group of preschool-aged children. The diagnostic results confirm that 64.28 percent of the children are below the expected level in terms of personal autonomy. Thus, it is concluded that proposing the designed approach is fundamental because it employs activities aimed at helping children enhance their autonomous ability by diagnosing the current level of autonomy in fourth-grade students of an educational institution. It is essential to strengthen skills and self-awareness to enable children to navigate freely in different situations. Consequently, integral development is fostered through the practice of values, self-esteem, and leadership, leading to significant and beneficial changes in their behavior.
