The objective of the present study was to evaluate the shrinkage of composite resins exposed to the operating light. 03 brands of nano hybrid resins were selected: PALFIQUE LX5 (Tokuyama Dental), Enamel plus HRi Bio Function (Micerium) and Filtek TM Z350 XT (3M). The samples of the resins previously dispensed was carried out in a disc modeler and then they were taken to an object holder sheet and superimposed with a sheet covering objects. A 2.5kg steel block was immediately placed on top for 05 seconds so that the resin spreads and thus be able to measure with an electronic caliper the diameter of the halo formed with its extension. The measurements were taken at three times: 0 seconds, 60 seconds and 120 seconds of exposure. There was contraction in the 03 brands of resins exposed to the operating light at 60 and 120 seconds, with those that presented the highest degree of contraction Micerium and 3M respectively.
