The general objective of this research is to propose the improvement of inventory management of the Afervitel EIRL company to reduce unsatisfied demand. To do this, using the 5WH – 1H method and the Ishikawa diagram, the main problems are identified, as well as their root causes. Subsequently, the calculation of logistical indicators was carried out. This is how it will be determined that the company had a service level of 73,25% due to the existence of stock outages, ignorance of real demand, ignorance of inventory management models and errors in the registration system. To address this problem, the ABC analysis was carried out, the coefficient of variability was calculated for the selected product families and the demand forecast was carried out using the Arima method. Likewise, the P inventory model was selected by performing a hierarchical analysis process (AHP) and the ClearStream inventory management software was selected through a ranking of factors. Likewise, the use of an RFID system was proposed, as well as a training plan for logistics area personnel. As a result, a service level of 95% and stock outage of 5% was achieved. Finally, the benefit-cost analysis was developed, obtaining a value of S/ 2,26 and a NPV of S/ 363 791,69. This is how unsatisfied demand was reduced from 26,75% to 5%.
