There is a worldwide deficit in the habitability of cities as a result of the informal and disorganized growth of cities, where there are usually informal settlements disjointed from urban dynamics that settle in peripheral or informal areas where the cost of land is cheaper but without However, you do not have the minimum conditions of habitability such as sanitation services, public spaces, among others, this model usually leads to different conflicts for the people who inhabit them, finding deficiencies not only physical, but also environmental, economic, social and even psychological as it is the case of sector four of José Leonardo Ortiz, which is located on the northern outskirts of the district adjoining rural areas and unconsolidated sectors. For this reason, a mixed methodology is planned, which incorporates both qualitative and quantitative values of the sector with the objective of establishing design strategies that improve the habitability conditions in Sector Four of José Leonardo Ortiz, Chiclayo and for this it will be developed in three sequential phases with the purpose of analyzing urban growth to later identify the characteristics of the dwelling and finally establish strategies based on the analysis of references in similar contexts where it is determined that through specific approaches both at the urban and architectural levels, the conditions of housing can be improved. habitability through participatory management between government authorities and local residents.
